This small (and very affordable) device made a huge change in out setup… the device is essence is Infra Red (IR) transmitter that can remember all your existing IR based remote controls. For us this means TV, SetTopBox, Soundbar and Air Conditioner (AC). The app from BroadLink is called “ihc” and has tons of predefined remote controls to choose from. It also allows for manual overwrite of each remote button, which exactly what we did. The application has scenes, which allow multiple keys to be pressed in a sequence. This feature was extremely helpful for our setup as we could start the TV, STB and soundbar in the same time.
